Government's Coronavirus Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund has announced that the Government's Coronavirus Community Fund will be open for business from 10am on Friday 22 May.

The first tranche will be £200m which will focus on two objectives:

1.  To increase community support to vulnerable people

2.  To reduce temporary closures of essential charities and social enterprises

Grants will cover service costs, where organisations are experiencing an increased demand and/or short-term reduction in income.

The remainder (£160m) will come as a second tranche later on but within the agreed timeline.
