DEFRA: Referring vulnerable people for food deliveries

DEFRA has launched a system which allows vulnerable people to be referred for reserved food delivery slots with Tesco or Iceland.

It says that the referrers can be local authorities and a small number of charities.

They are rolling this out across 35 local authorities this week, and the rest over the following 2-3 weeks.
