It is with great sadness that the village has lost an outstanding character over the weekend, Steve Osborne, was known to so many and his vast knowledge and larger than life presence will be so greatly missed.

Steve started in outstanding long career in local government, back in 1979 when he was elected on to the Parish Council, along with our current Chairman, Geoff Spokes. 

Steve sadly had to retire from the PC back in June 2021 with ill health, after being Chairman for many years.  His amazing local council career saw him as a long serving member of Daventry District Council, where he was Chairman of the Planning Committee for several years, along with also being a Northants County Councillor, of which he also became Chairman for year and a active member of the Conservative Party for over 50 years.
